Rehearsals have started and tempers are flaring.  However, all this means is that everyone wants this production to go without a hitch, i hope.  The outnumbered 3 current crew members feel largely outnumbered against the gigantic 20+ person cast.  The set has not yet been built and there is just a little over a month to go. (For more about set go to Techdom)  There have not yet been enough rehearsals to tell much detail, however, I can say I personally have high hopes.  I believe the casting directors have a good eye for undiscovered talent.

Been a while since we have posted new material so I'll pull out all the stops.  Set construction went great. (Thank you Mr. Hand and Mr. Gilchrist)  We used a simple design.  We took some plywood and around 9 2x4s threw in some screws and we had trees.  We then brought in the paint, threw it on some stools, and you had our props.  We then took more plywood, attached it to a bench, carved it in a mushroom shape, threw on some paint, and you had our mushroom.  Then we had to bring in the scaffolding to put up our backdrop.  I'm sorry for the lack of detail.  Anyway, the shows went great.  Our attendance over six shows fell around 2500.  We were recieved very well and thank all that were involved in putting this play together.

It has been a long time since anything new was posted on the site.  Steel Magnolias kept everyone very busy.  It was a fantastic play with a fantastic set.  Ashley Kelsoe made her DTC debut as Truvy.  Jessica Robinette performed exceptionally and earned the award for best comedic performance.  Jessica Stewart conveyed flexibility in her convincing performance as Annelle.  Kayla Allison and Robin Capsopoulos performed with great chemistry as Shelby and M'Lynn respectively. Robin's performance earned her the award for best dramatic performance.  Ella Stone performed in her fourth straight play with great skill.  It was a fun production and we are looking forward to next year.
